Baked Cranberry Brie

Melted brie and sweet cranberry sauce make this decadent appetizer worthy of those special holiday gatherings.
Ingredients:

  • 8-ounce round brie
  • 1/3 cup cranberry sauce
  • 2 Tbsp. brown sugar
  • 1 tsp. vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp. orange zest
  • 1/8 tsp. ground nutmeg
  • 1/4 cup pecans
  • Fresh rosemary for garnish

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 450 degrees
  2. Place brie in a small baking dish lined with parchment paper
  3. Remove the top rind and scrape out a shallow hole in the center, place removed cheese to the side for use later in the recipe
  4. Mix cranberry sauce, brown sugar, vanilla, zest, and nutmeg in a small bowl
  5. Top brie with the mixture
  6. Chop the pecans and sprinkle them on top of the brie
  7. Place the scooped-out cheese and top rind on top of the sauce and pecans
  8. Bake for 8-12 minutes or until cheese is melted and gooey. Watch the brie closely to ensure you remove it from the oven before the center collapses.
  9. Garnish with rosemary and serve immediately with crackers or fresh bread
